Creating Academic Cooperation

Excellence in education, research and innovation are key components for social and economic development. To reach that excellence, a conscious approach towards cooperation across boarders and sectors is crucial in order to build the relations needed.

CRECES supports the development of those relations between Europe and Central America, by creating the capacities needed to increase academic exchange and research cooperation.

What is CRECES?

CRECES is a 2-year project aimed at strengthening the academic cooperation between universities in Central America and Europe. Through a self-assessment of the current status, Central American universities will identify their needs for competence development and improvement.

Throughout the project, professionals from the Central American universities will be trained in the necessary competencies to facilitate academic exchange and research cooperation. At the same time, the existing university organizations will be improved with the goal of offering new services and opportunities to students and researchers.

CRECES is carried out with the support of the Erasmus Mundus programme of the European Union.
